KeppiFitness Barbell Clips

Was pleasantly surprised at how well these hold, as you can see in the photo the 4 plates I had on the bar only slid down a small amount.

The clips are very quick and easy to take on/off the bar, can easily do it with 1 hand.

The magnetic part on them is also very nice, can just slap them on your rack when not in use.

I like that it’s thinner than a typical collar. It allows a bit more room for plates on the curling bar. The locking mechanism is fairly easy to clamp, unclamping is less desirable but not bad. Getting fat fingers under the lever is a bit cramped. The speed of use is about the same as my Lock-Jaw collars; minimal time saved by not needing to slide to the end of the bar.

Overall good value, the grip is secure, and no regrets buying.

So I've been using these for a few weeks and have had 0 issues world on every bar I own amazingly. No jumping or unlatching. Pam on buying another soon.

Saw an acquaintance mention the Keppi open collars and tried them out. At around 30 bucks on sale, not too pricey in the first place.

Pros are that it locks the weights in place on the barbell sleeves pretty easily, with either one or two of the clasps making it tight (probably should use both for safety). Also, it's magnetic so I store them on my rack's uprights easily as well.

Con: clasps can be kind of hard to remove, tweaked my fingers a couple times before figuring out how to do it carefully and not get hurt.

Are they as good as the Eleiko Oppen collars? Probably not, but for a fraction of the price, it's hard to beat.
