I bought this bench to replace a basic Weider XR6 bench that was gifted to me. I used that weider bench for probably 8+ years, until I bought an Ironmaster Superbench Pro v2 in 2024. The investmesnt was very substantial, but I was starting to take lifting more seriously and needed more serious tools.
I kept my Weider bench but slowly began to realize its shortcomings after having the nicer Ironmaster, so I began a search to replace it - enter the Keppi Bench 5000.
The Keppi Bench 5000 is a serious beast. It's substantially larger than the Weider, and even larger than the Ironmaster. This is both a pro, and a con. It's a pro because it's very stable, but it's a con because it's big and could be a little difficult to navigate in tighter spaces.
I like the way that the seat slides around to close up the gap. The 3 part pat is a little strange to me, but it hasn't affected the way the bench feels. Having a big supportive pad has improved my lifts.
Now, one thing that is interesting to note, is that for incline bench in my squat stand, I can only use the 40-degree angle. Make sure you realize I'm talking about a squat stand, not a full 4 post squat rack. The squat stand has a crossmember across the middle. The rear feet of the bench hit this cross member. The bench is so big that any angle steeper than 40-deg causes the bench to sit up outside of the bar bath, way behind your shoulders, it's really not possible to unrack the bar with heavy weight. If you were to use this in a 4 post squat cage, this wouldn't really be an issue for you though.
However, this bench really shines in decline bench, because of the included foot roller attachment. You can also use this attachment to do decline sit-ups and crunches, even though I use the Ironmaster bench for that mostly.
I am blown away at the value this bench provides, and even though it is big and weights close to 100 pounds, I'll be keeping it because it's a very nice bench. The pads are thick and supportive, and the fit and finish are very good for the price you are paying.
Assembly took maybe 60-90 minutes, and all hardware was included except for one washer, luckily I keep a spare empty protein jug full of odds and ends of bolts and nuts and washers and I found one suitable for the task in there. Tools for assembly are also included, which is nice, but I used my own tools.
Overall it's a big recommend but just kind of look at the dimensions first if you have a small space, I just bought it on a whim and was not prepared for the beastliness of this thing!
